Why it matters
Exterior paint is your home’s first defense against sun, rain and heat. A proper job seals cracks and keeps moisture out, so the surfaces underneath last longer.
Our exterior prep, step by step
- Pressure wash every surface to be painted, so the paint bonds properly.
- Caulk gaps around windows, doors and trim to seal out moisture and drafts.
- Fill cracks and gaps in stucco with elastomeric stucco patch, and replace missing stucco.
- Remove loose and peeling paint with a wire brush or scraper.
- Smooth-patch cracked fascia boards.
- Wire-brush and seal the foundation, pulling back gravel or dirt to paint below grade.
- Prime all bare stucco with the right primer.
- Scrape and re-tape loose patio ceiling drywall.
Clean from start to finish
- Everything that isn’t being painted is masked off and protected.
- The job site is kept clean every day.
- Full cleanup when the job is done, then a walkthrough with you.
Exterior Painting questions
How long does exterior paint last?
It depends on sun exposure, the surface and the paint used. Good prep and quality exterior paint make the biggest difference; we will tell you what to expect for your home.
Can you help with HOA color approval?
Yes. We can provide color names, codes and samples for your HOA application, and we schedule the work once it is approved.
Do I need to be home?
No. We need access to the outside of the house and a water spigot. We keep you posted as the job goes.
